Cassini Flyby of Enceladus

Hey Space Placers!

Cassini completed its flyby of Enceladus yesterday and flew within 46 miles of the geyser spewing moon. This will be the last flyby of Enceladus for 3 years.

In the raw, unprocessed picture below, Cassini was 239,799 mils away and the south pole geyser can be seen spewing water and other liquids into space.
