NASA Crawler Update

Hey Space Placers!

The huge crawlers that have transported every Apollo rocket and Space Shuttle stack are getting an impressive upgrade so that they can handle NASA next generation of rockets - the Space Launch System (SLS).

The two crawlers that have a top speed of 2 mph have traveled an equivalent distance from the US east coast to the west coast. They will be able to handle an 18 million pound load - that is impresssive.

I have seen these beasts up close and they are something to behold.
