LADEE MISSION DATA FINDS LUNAR DUST CLOUD

Hey Space Placers!

Lunar researchers using data from NASA's LADEE (Lunar Atmosphere & Dust Environment Explorer) mission have discovered a permanent lopsided dust cloud around the Moon.

Nature 

I found it intriguing that the annual Geminid meteor shower, the only meteor shower caused by an asteroid (instead of a comet) was singled out in the press release.
