HST TURNS 30
Hey, Space Placers!
Hubble Space Telescope (HST) was launched into orbit OTD in 1990 on Space Shuttle Discovery.
This is the HST astropic image of the Coral Reef to mark 30 years:
HST is still making observations so many years later and should last for a few more years. Eventually its orbit will decay requiring a controlled reentry.
