Getting back to it after two weeks with family, the election and getting my new book published.
Ol' Voyager 2, launched in 1977 and almost 12 BILLION miles from Earth, had radio contact re-established last month with NASA.
It had been 7 months since NASA could communicate with the distant spacecraft as the radio dish that could communicate with the distant Voyager 2 was down for repairs and upgrades.
Voyager 2 and its twin, Voyager 1 are beyond the influence of the Sun but still within our Solar System. Both continue to send scientific data back to Earth and should last several more years.
