Hey Space Placers!
For the next week or so if you are at a dark sky location in either hemisphere, look for the Zodiacal Light (ZL). It will appear as a ghostly pyramidal shape in the sky after sunset in the Northern Hemisphere and in the East before dawn in the Southern Hemisphere.
The ZL is quite distinctive if your sky is dark enough as you can see in these land and sea photos:
The ZL can be seen in the center stretching towards the Milky Way.

New ZL research has determined that dust storms on Mars may be a major contributor to the ghostly specter in our skies!
This research was the result of studying dust impacts in the solar panels of the Jupiter bound Juno spacecraft as it flew the region of the solar system that contains the ZL.
How COOL is that!?
With spring or autumn a week from today many will be venturing outdoors to enjoy the season.
Look for the ZL to add to your enjoyment.
