More MARS news.

Ingenuity the Martian helicopter has completed its 3rd flight and is preparing for additional flights.

And here is REALLY BIG NEWS:

PERSEVERANCE MARS ROVER HAS MADE BREATHABLE OXYGEN OUT OF MARTIAN ATMOSPHERIC CARBON DIOXIDE!!!!

Like Ingenuity, the MOXIE instrument on Perseverance is a technology demonstrator to see what is possible on Mars. Accomplishing this interplanetary first could lead to upscale versions of processors that would allow astronauts on Mars to make all the oxygen they would need for breathing, and yes, rocket fuel.

  1. To make water don't you need to bring a large volume of hydrogen? Wouldn't that have the potential for a Hindenburg conflagration?
