JUNE 8 IS WORLD OCEANS DAY

 Hey, Space Placers!

Greg Redfern

Today is World Oceans Day.

The mesmerizing video in this link,  courtesy of NASA, shows the ocean currents of our planet.

Earth is a water world as 70+% of its surface area is covered by water - oceans and seas. I have had the privilege of spending a lot of time sailing them and they are oh, so beautiful.

Our planet, and even more so our oceans, are being drastically and dangerously affected by climate change which NASA is monitoring and studying.

Hopefully humanity, science and the governments of the world will unite and act to overcome climate change.

We simply cannot continue to do what we are doing to the planet. Doing so only increases the peril we all face.

Always remember, "Earth doesn't need humanity, humanity needs the Earth".
