THE MOST FAMOUS STAR IMAGE THAT CHANGED OUR VIEW OF THE UNIVERSE FOREVER

 Hey, Space Placers!

Watch the video and read the story  about the most famous image ever taken of a star that changed our view of the Universe forever. The Var! star became the "Rosetta Stone" to deciphering the secrets of the Universe in 1923 and the years that followed.

I was most fortunate to visit and get an exclusive tour of the Pasadena office of the Carnegie Observatories and Mount Wilson Observatory arranged by Carnegie in 2016. The resulting information and photographs became the basis for one of my favorite lectures, "Mount Wilson Observatory: Where the Universe Changed Forever".

Mount Wilson and Mount Palomar Observatories are two of my fave places on Earth.
