Two weeks from today is a solar eclipse that will be visible across the country. For some the Sun will only be partially eclipsed while for fortunate others within the path of totality the Sun will be completely eclipsed.

IF you are in the path of totality you can go to this website and click on the map to see a prediction of what the Sun's outer atmosphere, called the corona, might look like. With the Sun being very active as it works up to Solar Maximum predicted to occur in 2024, the Corona is predicted to be large and impressive as you can see from the predictive photo above for my location in Texas.
