AN INSPIRING (TO ME AT LEAST) VIEW OF OUR PLANET FROMM ISS SET TO "SOUNDS OF SILENCE" BY DISTURBED

As we enter into the end of the year and holiday season, let us embrace this view of Mother Earth from the International Space Station (ISS). We are so fortunate to live on a planet that sustains all lifeforms and has such incredible beauty.

I saw this video for the first time on Cunard's Queen Mary 2, which Jim Kennedy, NASA retired, was using it for his opening segment of his wonderful lectures. Then, as now, I get goosebumps from the visuals and music.

Alas, we have not taken very good care of Mother Earth and must dedicate ourselves, the human race, to treating her (and ultimately ourselves) far better than we have.
