CHECK OUT THE VERA RUBIN OBSERVATORY SKYVIEWER APP - MY OH MY!!!

 Hey, Space Placers!

Look at these GALAXIES!!! It looks like a tidal stream in the image.

What is this in the center of the pic? Is it an elliptical galaxy with low density so we can see the far more distant galaxies behind it?

What is this streak of apparent illuminated material in space?

This image is looking thought the outer parts of a major galaxy which is the "haze". The big blue blob we see BEHIND it  looks like an irregular galaxy. We can also see more distant galaxies in the image.

When "First Look" for VRO took place there was mention of an app called SKYVIEWER

I finally got around to downloading it and HOLY COW, it is simply out of this world, literally.

We are used to seeing the grand images of JAMES WEBB SPACE TELESCOPE but with VRO we see such a large image and in such detail and depth it takes your breath away looking at them. With SKYVIEWER you can explore so much, either on your own or in the provided Guided Tours.

These images I downloaded are from just a few areas of interest I saw in the released images.

I kid you not, you will lose yourself in exploring VRO's images with SKYVIEWER.

The Universe truly awaits us......
