ALMOST FULL HARVEST SUPERMOON RISING

I was up at Shenandoah National Park October 5-6 giving presentations and imaging the Moon and Comet Lemmon.

I was pleasantly surprised to see how well Comet Lemmon appeared in the very bright moonlight. This comet is expected to continue brightening during the month and may even become visible to the unaided eye. The Moon will become less bright during this time so that will help Comet Lemmon's visibility.

Here is more on the comet. Stay tuned!
