LATEST ON COMET - NOT SPACESHIP - 3I/ATLAS
Hey, Space Placers!

The amazing astrophotographers Michael Jäger, Gerald Rhemann and Enrico Prosperi have obtained the earliest image we've seen of 3I/ATLAS - the world's 3rd known interstellar object - as it emerges from its closest passage near our star, the sun, on October 29, 2025. They posted the image on Facebook, on the page ICQ Comet Observations. There are a couple of other images there, in addition to the one above. Wonderful work! Thank you for this image, which shows that the object - a comet from another star system - has been affected, as comets often are, by its close passage near our sun. The object now displays multiple jets, streaming out in all directions. We're sure to see more images in the days ahead ... Stay tuned!

Here is an update on interstellar COMET (not spaceship) 3I/ATLAS.
Some media outlets have reported on the "speculation" that these jets could be thrusters for navigation. But the EVIDENCE shows that 3I/ATLAS if conforming to its motion in space according to Newton's Laws just as comets do. Other than hyperbole for clickbait and fame, this pure speculation has no observational evidence.
Bottom line: 3I/ATLAS is following its computed path through the sky with no deviation from its ephemeris of celestial coordinates. It is also showing the characteristics associated with comets.
I plan on trying to image the comet myself.
