SPLASHDOWN FRIDAY FOR ARTEMIS II

 Hey, Space Placers!

I used my Unistellar Odyssey Pro telescope and the coordinates supplied by their website to attempt imaging Artemis II on her way back to Earth this morning. Integrity was 85,000 miles away and traveling at 4,600 mph.

These images MAY BE Integrity - the streak at the top moves to the vicinity of the star in the bottom. The images are centered on the coordinates and the streak showed up in these 10 and 11-minute exposures.

Imaged the sky showing the Moon, the moonlit Milky Way and Scorpius.

Here is the Moon.

Here is the Odyssey Pro pointed to the area of Integrity.

Finally, Comet C/2025 R3 - BEAUTIFUL.

NASA coverage of the splashdown starts at 6:30 pm EDT with splashdown at 8:07 pm EDT.
