Hey Space Placers!
With the stupid government shutdown it is hard to get spacecraft and space information due to the NASA websites being off line.
I was able to get an update on LADEE - see my 9/6/13 blogs. LADEE made a final orbital maneuver and is on a path that will lead to lunar orbit insertion on October 6th. Get more details here http://www.planetary.org/blogs/emily-lakdawalla/2013/10021120-ladee-has-finally-left-earth.html
NASA's next mission to Mars, MAVEN is in jeopardy due to the shutdown as the launch window that only comes along every 2+ years is getting closer and launch preps are on hold.
