SKY GUY VIEWING ALERT: JUPITER & MOON TONIGHT; PERSEIDS NEAR PEAK

Hey Space Placers!

This will be short and sweet as I am up at Shenandoah National Park for the 4th Annual Night Sky Festival.

Jupiter and the Moon have a VERY close pass tonight and the Perseid Meteor Shower is working towards it peak on the night of August 12th.

A Texas amateur recorded a possible impact in Jupiter's atmosphere  and Hubble Space Telescope (HST) just released its newest photograph of the king of the planets.

Be sure to get out and take a peek.
