There has been a historical battle going on in the solar system as to which planet has the most moons.

It has been a seesaw battle between king of the planets - Jupiter - and Saturn, the second largest planet.

Jupiter held the title for awhile until just this week when astronomers announced a whopping SIXTY TWO (62!!!!) newly discovered moons to bring the ringed planet's moon count to a current total of 142 known moons - WOW!

Jupiter previously held the title at 95 known moons against Saturn's 83 until the recent announcement.

Read about the discovery here.

Only time and more observations will tell if there is another title change.
