JUPITER AT ITS BEST FOR 2024

At sunset tonight, to the SW is brilliant Venus. Saturn is in the S and mighty Jupiter is in the E. At 10 PM local Mars is in the E too. 

The king of the planets is directly opposite the Sun today, what astronomers call "opposition".

Jupiter is fascinating to look at in a small telescope as you can see the four main moons discovered by Galileo and happenings in the cloud tops of the giant planet.
