Mars Reflection in Pacific

Greg Redfern

On January 12th,  Mars is closest to Earth 9 a.m. EST  at 59,703,891 miles. This happens every 26 months.

Here is a good article about the status of returning deposited Martian samples to Earth.

Be sure to look at Mars and the Moon on the night of 13-14 as they will be very close and in some areas the Moon will cover Mars,

See my WTOP story for more info.
