NASA’s Tally of Planets Outside Our Solar System Reaches 6,000

 Hey, Space Placers!

After viewing this excellent video take the time to read the accompanying story.

It is truly amazing to see the diversity in the exoplanets discovered to date and contemplate what is out there for us to add to our exoplanet "Discoveries Dashboard".

I believe it is very likely that our search for intelligent life in our Milky Way galaxy will be found in a future exoplanet that exhibits tell tale clues in its atmosphere - industrial type pollutants, CO2 warming of the atmosphere, biological markers.

We are adding to our technological capabilities with new ground and space based telescopes.

I know one thing for certain: there are thousands more exoplanets awaiting confirmation of the already obtained data AND the discovery of thousands more as a matter of routine observations.

Oh, and here is what Venus, Regulus and the Moon looked like on Friday morning (my pic is the second in the link/video.
